Use Tantra, Not Porn

male god
I came across a Life Magazine from 1969 and the feature article was about pornography and the pros and cons of adult magazines.  It was just 47 years ago and yet it was so quaint.
Can you remember how Playboy magazines were hidden with a guilty feeling? And how about when a picture of a semi-naked women was powerful?  When I was about 5 or 6 I saw a guy wrap his arm around his girlfriend and squeeze her rear.  That was enough stimulation to last for many, many orgasms!
I once hid such a magazine under my mattress.  One day I asked my two children to help me turn my mattress.  We all screamed when we saw the “dirty” magazine!  I mumbled something like it must belong to my boyfriend and threw it in the trash can only later to retrieve it.
And then came VCRs – again so quaint.  One night my son invited his friend to sleep over.  After I went to bed I heard unusual sounds.  OMG, I thought, they are watching that sex video!  I ran into the room and removed it as they protested!
I count my blessings that the internet hadn’t been invented as yet.  Internet porn is distorting sex for everyone who watches it consistently.  “Every man watches it!”, my hairdresser insisted.  I mentioned that her young son of 12 was probably going to watch a lot of it as he grows up.  What I didn’t mention is that he has a good chance of developing Porn-Induced ED.  (PIED)
Many men who are watching it daily, or binging regularly are finding that they would like to stop “using.”  They realize that it is distorting their expectations for sex.  They feel that they are inadequate in the bedroom.  They have difficulty getting aroused when they are with someone.  They notice that they are always checking out women’s body parts thereby reducing them to objects.  It isn’t possible to form a meaningful connection with an obstacle.
Tantra provides an excellent remedy for making the transition away from porn.  It replaces instant arousal with overall pleasurable sexual experiences with oneself.  It’s a form a masturbation, but much, much more!
There are specific breathing and touching techniques which are not difficult to learn.  With practice it is possible to progress to experience a full body orgasm.  As a master in tantra, my male instructor’s orgasms can last for over 2 1/2 minutes!
This is a meditative form of sexual pleasure and it’s beneficial for overall well-being.  When someone who is addicted to porn chooses to stop using they will go through a withdrawal similar to drug abuse withdrawal.  There brain is rebelling against the high dopamine levels it needs for masturbation.
Withdrawal can be accompanied by extreme lethargy, depression, and apathy.  Abstination is touted as the only remedy, but the tantra techniques that enhance pleasure and provide for a fully sexual experience is a remedy!
